MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN is an international music award founded through the collaboration of five leading organizations in Japan's music industry: the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the Japan Association of Music Enterprises, the Federation of Music Producers Japan, the Music Publishers Association of Japan and the All Japan Concert & Live Entertainment Promoter's Conference.
United by the concept "Connecting with the world, illuminating the future of music," the awards are determined through a rigorous voting process conducted by over 5,000 voters from across the music industry. They include artists, creators, record label staff, concert promoters, music publishers and international music award jurors, representing every corner of the business.
To ensure the transparency and fairness of the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 voting and selection process, CEIPA assumes responsibility for its administration and maintains strict control over the management of all ballots and results.
CEIPA has hired Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC to perform agreed-upon procedures to assess whether the voting and selection process complies with the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 VOTING RULE BOOK" (the "VOTING RULE BOOK"), and will receive a report outlining the results of these procedures.
While these procedures do not constitute an audit and the report does not provide assurance on the process, CEIPA will use the findings as supplementary material in confirming that the voting and selection process is conducted fairly in accordance with the VOTING RULE BOOK, and that the system and procedures are operated with transparency.
