STUDENT MUSIC CREATORS CHALLENGE
in association with Kyoto University of the Arts

Entry Specifications

Music works distributed through TuneCore Japan are eligible. Five works will be selected as Nominees.

The creator of the Best Work will be announced at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 ceremony.

Eligibility Requirements

All creators involved in the production must be students at the time of application.

There are no restrictions regarding nationality, age, individual or group format, genre, or performance style.

First Voting Period

Five nominees will be selected by a panel composed of members from the MAJ Executive Committee, the Music Course at Kyoto University of the Arts, TuneCore Japan, and other partners.

Final Voting Period

Domestic Voting Members may vote on a voluntary basis.

Each voter will rank up to three works from among the Nominees. Points will be allocated as follows. First place 4 points, second place 2 points, third place 1 point.

※Voters may rank up to three works and may choose to rank fewer than three.

※Self selection is permitted and duplicate selections are not allowed.
