For each period, all songs that ranked on any of the seven indicators — the six Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 metrics (Radio, CD Sales, Downloads, Streaming, Music Video, and Karaoke) plus Top User Generated Songs — are listed.
From the songs listed in each period, those that meet the eligibility requirements for entry works are selected, with up to 100 songs extracted per period.
After all seven periods have concluded, the songs extracted from each period are compiled and ranked by points. Duplicate entries are removed based on each song’s highest point total, and the top 100 songs are designated as Entry Works.
