

Instrumental songs released during the aggregation period are extracted from the Spotify playlists “Road Trip To Tokyo,” “Mellow Beats,” “Fujiyama Beats,” “An Evening to Remember,” “Sora Ambient,” and “Ambient Japan.” Using Luminate data, the top 50 songs by global streams are then selected and designated as Entry Works.
Aggregation Period
January 31, 2025 – February 26, 2026
※Only songs by domestic artists are eligible.
※Japanese artists active internationally are also eligible.
Domestic Voting Members may vote on a voluntary basis.
Each member must vote for 2 to 5 entries from the list of Entry Works.
※Self-selection is permitted, but duplicate selections are not allowed.
※If multiple songs by the same artist are nominated, the number of nominated works will be expanded until five different artists are represented.
Domestic Voting Members may vote on a voluntary basis.
Each voter will rank up to three works from among the nominees. Points will be allocated as follows. First place 4 points, second place 2 points, third place 1 point.

Artists, creators involved in lyrics, composition, and arrangement, producers, recording engineers, mixing engineers, mastering engineers, musicians, directors, managers, and A&R representatives.

Eligible artists and creators (including lyricists, composers, and arrangers) involved in works entered for MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 may participate in both the first-round and final-round voting as Voting Members.
