Entry Specifications
From an award-original chart combining three Oricon year-end single ranking indicators (CD Sales, Downloads, and Streaming) with data from the USEN Year-End HIT Enka / Kayōkyoku Ranking, the top 50 enka / kayōkyoku songs are extracted for each period.
After all seven periods have concluded, the songs extracted from each period are combined and ranked by points. Duplicate entries are removed by retaining only the highest point total for each song. The top 50 songs are designated as Entry Works, the top 5 songs as Nominees, and the No. 1 ranked song as the Award Winner.
※For double A-side singles, the song with the higher points from downloads or streaming will be selected.
※Only songs by domestic artists are eligible.
