Entry Specifications

Songs created through collaborations between domestic artists/creators and international artists/creators are compiled by the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN Basic Design Committee based on information from various DSPs. From these, the top 50 songs by global streaming data — including streams in Japan — compiled by Luminate are designated as Entry Works.

Aggregation Period
January 27, 2025 – February 22, 2026

※Collaborations with track makers are also included.

※Only songs by domestic artists are eligible.

First Voting Period

Domestic Voting Members may vote on a voluntary basis.

Each member must vote for 2 to 5 entries from the list of Entry Works.

※Self-selection is permitted, but duplicate selections are not allowed.

Final Voting Period

Domestic Voting Members may vote on a voluntary basis.

Each voter will rank up to three works from among the nominees. Points will be allocated as follows. First place 4 points, second place 2 points, third place 1 point.

※Voters may rank up to three works and may choose to rank fewer than three.

※Self selection is permitted and duplicate selections are not allowed.

※If multiple songs by the same artist are nominated, the number of nominated works will be expanded until five different artists are represented.

Winners

Artists, creators involved in lyrics, composition, and arrangement, producers, recording engineers, mixing engineers, mastering engineers, musicians, directors, managers, and A&R representatives.
