Entry Specifications

Using data from SoundScan Japan, the top 50 analog records (albums and singles) by sales volume are extracted for each period.

After all seven periods have concluded, the works extracted from each period are combined and ranked by points. Duplicate entries are removed by retaining only the highest point total for each work. The top 50 works are designated as Entry Works, the top 5 works as Nominees, and the No. 1 ranked work as the Award Winner.

※Only analog records by domestic artists are eligible.
※All works are eligible regardless of their original release date.
